This exquisite etching by Czoernig depicts house no. 2 in Vienna-Heiligenstadt, Pfarrplatz, where Beethoven lived on the first floor of the left wing of the building. The musical quotation shows the beginning of Piano Sonata No. 26 op. 81a "Les Adieux", composed in 1809/1810.
This framed work of art measures 7½ x 7½ in within a 13¾ x 11½ in mat. Frame measure 23 x 22 in.
